Beliefs

  • The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God, and that it is the only authority for establishing doctrine, faith, hope, and instruction for Christian living (II Timothy 3:15-17).

  • One God

The first and greatest commandment is this: “Hear, O Israel; the Lord our God is one Lord” (Deuteronomy 6:4; Mark 12:29). We believe this one true God has revealed Himself as our Father in creation, through His Son Jesus Christ in redemption, and as the Holy Spirit in regeneration. We believe that the Bible teaches that there is one God, indivisible in nature & essence. He is One and His name is one; “Jesus” (I Corinthians 8:6; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9; I Timothy 3:16, Zechariah 14:9).

  • Sin + Salvation

Everyone has sinned and needs salvation. Salvation comes by grace through obedient faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ, in response to the Gospel. (Romans 3:23-25; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; I Corinthians 15:1-4).

  • The Gospel

The gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. This is good news, bevause through His life, death & resurrection, we can be saved! We receive salvation by responding with obedient faith to the message of the Gospel. We must hear the Gospel, confess our sins, repent & turn from sin (death to sin) to follow Jesus, be buried with Christ in Baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (burial), and He will fill us with the gift of the Holy Spirit (resurrection). (I Corinthians 15:1-4; Acts 2:4, 37-39; Romans 6:3-4).

  • Lifestyle

The prophet Micah declared, “He has told each of you what is good and what it is the LORD requires of you: to act justly, to love faithfulness, and to walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:8). We believe that Christian living consists of doing what is right, compassionately serving others, and pursuing a relationship with God, in the pursuit of Holiness… without which, “no man will see the Lord” (Hebrews 12:14).

  • The Church

We believe in covenanting with a community of believers through a local church assembly. Through the ministry of the Church, believers are strengthened in their faith and find opportunities to serve others. When believers gather together for worship, they can expect the presence of the Lord to be there and for the supernatural gifts of the Spirit to minister (Mathew 18:20; Mark 12:28-31; II Corinthians 7:1; Hebrews 12:14; I Corinthians 12:8-10).

  • Apostolic Life in the 21st Century

We believe in the Apostolic lifestyle as declared & demonstrated by Jesus, then modeled to us by His disciples in the Book of Acts. We believe in divine healing, miracles, the Gifts of the Spirit, communion, faithful giving, sacrificial living, the fellowship of the Church, the five-fold ministry of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers & more.
