Apostolic endeavors to be a 1st Century Church in the 21st Century.
We are Presence-centered, Jesus following, truth preaching, Apostolic House of Prayer, in the heart of Dallas. Our mission is to see the Kingdom + Culture of Heaven, established in the earth.
We are Bible-based & Bible-only. We endeavor to base all of our teachings, beliefs, practices & lifestyle on a straight-forward reading & application of the Bible.
We are non-creedal & are restorationist in nature. We believe that Jesus is restoring His church to the function & model of the 1st Century Church, right now in our 21st Century, modern context.
We believe in the doctrine lifestyle & pattern of the 1st Century Church, which was a pure-form expression of the life & teachings of Jesus Christ. Because of this, we do not superimpose Church History onto the scriptures, nor do we read later developed doctrines into the writings of the Apostles in the Bible. We believe that the 21st Century Church has at large strayed from this in many ways.
We believe the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God, and that it is the only authority for establishing doctrine, faith, hope, and instruction for Christian living (II Timothy 3:15-17).
The first and greatest commandment is this: “Hear, O Israel; the Lord our God is one Lord” (Deuteronomy 6:4; Mark 12:29). We believe this one true God has revealed Himself as our Father in creation, through His Son Jesus Christ in redemption, and as the Holy Spirit in regeneration. We believe that the Bible teaches that there is one God, indivisible in nature & essence. He is One and His name is one; “Jesus” (I Corinthians 8:6; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9; I Timothy 3:16, Zechariah 14:9).
Everyone has sinned and needs salvation. Salvation comes by grace through obedient faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ, in response to the Gospel. (Romans 3:23-25; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; I Corinthians 15:1-4).
The gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. This is good news, bevause through His life, death & resurrection, we can be saved! We receive salvation by responding with obedient faith to the message of the Gospel. We must hear the Gospel, confess our sins, repent & turn from sin (death to sin) to follow Jesus, be buried with Christ in Baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (burial), and He will fill us with the gift of the Holy Spirit (resurrection). (I Corinthians 15:1-4; Acts 2:4, 37-39; Romans 6:3-4).
The prophet Micah declared, “He has told each of you what is good and what it is the LORD requires of you: to act justly, to love faithfulness, and to walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:8). We believe that Christian living consists of doing what is right, compassionately serving others, and pursuing a relationship with God, in the pursuit of Holiness… without which, “no man will see the Lord” (Hebrews 12:14).
We believe in covenanting with a community of believers through a local church assembly. Through the ministry of the Church, believers are strengthened in their faith and find opportunities to serve others. When believers gather together for worship, they can expect the presence of the Lord to be there and for the supernatural gifts of the Spirit to minister (Mathew 18:20; Mark 12:28-31; II Corinthians 7:1; Hebrews 12:14; I Corinthians 12:8-10).
We believe in the Apostolic lifestyle as declared & demonstrated by Jesus, then modeled to us by His disciples in the Book of Acts. We believe in divine healing, miracles, the Gifts of the Spirit, communion, faithful giving, sacrificial living, the fellowship of the Church, the five-fold ministry of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers & more.
