Christianity is about following Jesus. Jesus followers are called disciples. True connection in the Kingdom of God is centered around discipleship (following Jesus). Becoming a disciple. Being a disciple. Making disciples. That discipleship journey happens both daily, individually... and weekly, in community.
Encounter Jesus. Follow Jesus. Establish His Kingdom.
Let’s follow Jesus & grow together!
True discipleship with Jesus begins with an encounter. A real one. Not just with the Church, but with Jesus. We believe at Apostolic, that just one encounter with Jesus... changes everything.
An encounter, though amazing, is not enough in & of itself. Scripture is littered with those who encountered God, but never made the decision to follow Him. This invitation from Jesus to follow Him, is extended to all who desire to “deny themselves”, “take up their cross, daily”, & “follow” Him (Luke 9:23).
It’s a call to know Him, to learn of Him & to become like Him. To follow Him, personally, with the cluster of other believers also have accepted this invitation to follow Him... because nobody follows Jesus alone.
Following Jesus leads to transformation. Not only of self, as we become like Jesus, but of purpose. As we follow Jesus, and become like Him... there is a point where we will do what Jesus calls of us to do. The call of disciples of Jesus is to bare the fruit of personal transformation, by carrying His gospel message into the world, to thereby establish the Kingdom + culture of Heaven on the earth.
