His Vision + Our Heartbeat
Apostolic is a presence-centered, Jesus following, truth preaching, apostolic, house of prayer in the heart of Dallas, sent by God to establish the Kingdom of Heaven in the earth.
We endeavor to be a 1st Century Church in the 21st Century. We believe that the doctrine, practice + spiritual function of the 1st Century Church, found in the Book of Acts, is still applicable today + is to be our benchmark. Our experience with God should be no less than the experience of the 1st Century Church in the scriptures.
We believe that Dallas will see the Glory of the Lord. It will be, in Dallas as it is in Heaven.
We gather corporately on Sundays @ 2:00 PM
+ House-to-House throughout the week at Neighborhoods
4711 Westside Dr., Dallas, TX
Values
Values determine direction, direction determines destination. What you value, is what you get, who you become, and where you go. These Biblically derived values help anchor us to Kingdom culture.
God's Word
So we read the Word of God faithfully & live our entire lives based on the Bible, His roadmap & value system for our lives, not this worlds.
God's Voice
So we listen for, receive & obey the voice of Jesus everyday, everywhere.
God's Presence
So we live seek to live holy, presence-centered lives by remaining separate from the ways of this world. We reject anything that would compromise our standing in His Holy Presence & embrace anything keeps us IN His Presence.
God's People
So we honor & submit to all of God’s people as the sons & daughters of God.
God's Mission
We give cheerfully, serve faithfully, reach continuously.
Beliefs
The Apostolic Church is a Bible-based church, endeavoring to base all of our teaching and our lives on a straight-forward reading of the Scripture and a practical application of biblical principles. As such, we believe…
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God, and that it is the only authority for establishing doctrine, faith, hope and instruction for Christian living (II Timothy 3:15-17).
God
The first and greatest commandment is this: “Hear, O Israel; the Lord our God is one Lord” (Deuteronomy 6:4; Mark 12:29). We believe this one true God has revealed Himself as our Father in creation, through His Son Jesus Christ in redemption, and as the Holy Spirit in regeneration (I Corinthians 8:6; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9; I Timothy 3:16).
Sin + Salvation
Everyone has sinned and needs salvation. Salvation comes by grace through obedient faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ, in response to the Gospel (Romans 3:23-25; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; I Corinthians 15:1-4).
The Gospel
The gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. Our response to the Gospel is to identify with His death, burial and resurrection through repentance (death to sin), water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (burial), and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit (resurrection) (I Corinthians 15:1-4; Acts 2:4, 37-39; Romans 6:3-4).
Christian Living
The prophet Micah declared, “He has told each of you what is good and what it is the LORD requires of you: to act justly, to love faithfulness, and to walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:8). We believe that Christian living consists of doing what is right, compassionately serving others, and pursuing a relationship with God.
The Church
We believe in covenanting with a community of believers through a local church assembly. It is through the ministry of the Church that believers are strengthened in their faith and find opportunity to serve others. When believers gather together for worship, they can expect the presence of the Lord to be there and for the supernatural gifts of the Spirit to minister (Mathew 18:20; Mark 12:28-31; II Corinthians 7:1; Hebrews 12:14; I Corinthians 12:8-10).
Apostolic Life
We believe in the Apostolic lifestyle as declared & demonstrated by Jesus, then modeled to us by His disciples in the Book of Acts. We believe in divine healing, miracles, the Gifts of the Spirit, communion, faithful giving, sacrificial living, the fellowship of the Church, the five-fold ministry of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers & more.
Jesus Rhythms
Everything in life is built on rhythms. These rhythms, sourced from the life of Jesus + His disciples, are to be applied to/practiced in our lives, as we seek to model the life of Jesus as His followers.
Prayer
We believe the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God, and that it is the only authority for establishing doctrine, faith, hope and instruction for Christian living (II Timothy 3:15-17).
